The Rocche dei Manzoni estate is situated
in the heart of the Barolo zone at Monforte d'Alba. The modern
cantina was established by the late Valentino Migliorini in 1974,
although the estate's history of producing wine dates back to the
1700s. The estate is now run by his son Rudolfo.
The estate has around 40 hectares of
vines, all of which are situated in some of the best positions
within the commune of Monforte d'Alba. Rocche dei Manzoni (RdM) is
one of our largest producers, making over 200,000 bottles of the
finest quality, across a wide range of varietals. RdM, often cited
as a modern vanguard, has championed the planting of international
varietals such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Semillon and Sauvignon the
result being that the estate, now under the guidance of Rudolfo's
head wine maker, Giuseppe Albertino, makes arguably the best
vintage sparkling and dessert wines in Italy − their vintage rosé
is simply beautiful.
