The Gigi Rosso cantina is based in the
commune of Castiglione Falletto. Gigi and his two sons, Claudio and
Maurizio, produce and also age fine wines from their premium
vineyards in Serralunga and Diana d'Alba. The family started making
wines in the 1970s and was among the first in the region to market
and bottle their own wines rather than selling their grapes on to
the big consortiums. The Rosso family has continued to focus on
making a range of wines from their everyday Arneis (a wonderful and
distinctive local varietal) through to the special occasion Barolo
Riserva − all giving a true insight into the beauty of the
Langhe.
